Almond Tea – Method of Preparation
1. Prepare the Australian Almonds
- Soak Australian almonds in water for 30–40 minutes.
- Peel the skin and grind or crush into a coarse paste.
2. Boil the Base
- Add 200 ml water to a pan.
- Add ginger and cardamom.
- Bring to a gentle boil to release the flavours.
3. Add Tea Leaves
- Add the tea leaves and boil for 1 minute.
4. Add Almond Paste
- Stir in the prepared almond paste.
- Simmer for 2 minutes, allowing the flavours to infuse.
5. Add Milk & Sugar
- Add milk and sugar.
- Simmer until the tea develops a rich golden colour.
6. Final Touch
- Finish with saffron strands.
- Strain and serve hot.
Garnish & Serve
Garnish with almond flakes and serve hot.
